KoothOverview of the Service For 11-25 year olds: For PCTs/local authorities: Having first started in 2004, Kooth now operates successfully in 11 local authority areas. The service consists of online counselling, emotional wellbeing advice plus much more. Via the secure website, young people get immediate and confidential access to help, information and support. Because the service is online and their anonymity is protected at all times young people feel safe and are comfortable airing their concerns and asking for help. By removing the stigma that many young people often associate with emotional and mental health problems, Kooth is often able to prevent young people from getting into trouble and entering the care system.
